Answers to your questions:
What if I am brand new?
It's ok! You can just come watch and learn. This meeting is also one of the best education meetings out there to see how deals are structured live.
What if I don't have anything to trade?
You'd be surprised - very few people have nothing to trade! Do you have time? A particular skill set? Maybe you know how to work on cars and could trade that for mentoring? Maybe you're an HVAC tech and want to get into real estate. Do you think landlords might want an HVAC person on their team? They do!
What happens if I say yes to a deal?
All "deals" done in the room are subject to due diligence. Just because you agreed in the room, doesn't mean it's written in stone. All sides need to do their due diligence and make sure that the deal being done is above board and everyone is happy before anything exchanges hands.
Does SoCal Exchangors close the deal?
No. We are here to facilitate the creation of deals. Beyond that, we do not get involved in due diligence, contracts, escrow, attorneys, etc. It is up to you to follow up, do your due diligence and actually do the deal.
What if a deal goes bad?
Again, SoCal Exchangors, the FIRE Center, and it's staff are not responsible for the outcome of any deals. This is an open format meeting that anyone can come to. We are not the deal police, attorneys, judges, or jury. Some deals don't work out the way everyone intended. That is part of the risk of investing. However, if you have been defrauded by an attendee or an attendee is acting suspicious, please let us know immediately.
About Us
Founded by Rich Rice and Andy Teasley, SoCal Exchangors has emerged as a powerhouse in real estate deal making and education. Originally a sub-meeting of IEREIC, it quickly matured and outgrew its Inland Empire roots. So, in 2024, as part of the FIRE Center's evolution, SoCal Exchangors has taken flight as its own entity - with a renewed focus not only on the IE but on the entire Southern California region!
